We chose this as the first stop of our honeymoon and it has not disappointed. Everything is absolutely spotless and we’ve not needed for anything. This has been the perfect spot to explore the North West Coast!

The beaches, scenery and the kindness of Mike & Sarah have made this an unforgettable trip! The view behind the house up the lane at sunset is breathtaking and the sunrise down the valley to Sango Bay is even better!

We’ve had an amazing holiday. This was the perfect place to celebrate Barry’s birthday (thanks Sarah for collecting the gifts from the Post Office!)

The cottage is outstanding and you made us feel so welcomed. All the wee touches made a real difference - we really appreciated the milk and the dram after a long journey and we grazed on the fruit for days. Roy enjoyed his special welcome pack too! An early trip to the beach to watch the sunrise is highly recommended.

Lovely cottage. Glorious weather. Arkle, Ben Loyal, Foinaven & Ben Klibreck climbed. Cape Wrath lighthouse reached by ferry and mountain bike - seals spotted. Early starts aided by the 4.45 am cuckoo call!

The perfect place in Durness.

We arrive to Durness at dusk on the 14th November. All other accommodations were closed and we found the Old Manse Cottage sign on the road. Sarah welcome us in a very warm and friendly way, she showed us the accommodation and ask us for our breakfast desires. Everything was perfect. Super cozy, well decorated and extremely clean. Even her husband Mike helped us with the heating.

The breakfast was simply a dream, every simple thing you can imagine, was on that table and all made at the moment by Sarah.

It was a perfect stay with the plus that we were able to be in contact with local people.

If we come back to Durness, we will absolutely stay with them again.

Beautiful, luxurious cottage; a lovely base to return to after a day's exploring the fabulous coastline
& a pleasure to spend time in when the weather is not so great!
Sarah's home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious & a real bonus.
